«Technical photography, industrial photography, is difficult, very difficult if you want an excellent result. Imagination, fantasy and similar flights of fancy are not needed here, but rather the parameters of culture and taste. In this field one has to be more mathematician than poet, more technician and man of culture than interpreter. The work becomes composition of data and past experience. Perhaps this might seem to be the least exciting job, but to me, whatever one says about it, it seems to be a clean job in which the forcing is softened and external pressures do not involve hypocritical prudence».
